This feature length anime tells the story of Joe, an orphan with nowhere to turn, who is taken under the wing of a retired boxer, who sees in the boy the same spirit that once helped him win matches in the ring. As time goes by, Joe grows up and his skills grow stronger, but when a formidable opponent throws down a challenge and it comes time to test Joe's ability, his guardian can't help worrying that the young man isn't ready for the fight.
