When Hiroshi falls in love with Mari, the most beautiful girl in his high-school class, he decides that even though she's out of his league, he can still have the next best thing. He constructs an android in her image called Marie, who he tells everyone is his sister. Hiroshi encourages her to befriend Mari in the hopes that she'll tell his crush what a great guy he is, but Marie is developing her own feelings for the boy who is supposed to be her "brother", and things are getting more complicated by the minute.
