The PSP receives its first NHRA-licensed racing game with "Countdown to the Championship," which incorporates the tiered qualifying system introduced in the 2007 season. Dragster fans will compete in a 23-race format, earning points after each event based on their overall finish. The top eight point leaders through 17 races advance to the playoffs, where four additional races will decide which drivers reach the official NHRA POWERade championships. More than 100 Top Fuel Dragsters, Pro Stock, and Funny Cars are available to race on 20 authentic tracks. Tony Schumacher, Greg Anderson, John Force, and over 30 other professional drivers are available to play as or against in a choice of quick race, multiplayer, and career modes.
