Confused by the large number of classical wedding CDs revealed by your Internet search or retailer visit? This is a good one to pick. The package includes two CDs, each loaded with time-honored classical wedding favorites like the Bridal Chorus from Wagner's Lohengrin ("Here comes the bride...") and Schubert's Ave Maria; there are also a few instrumental versions of modern selections like "My Heart Will Go On" (an odd choice despite the many weddings where it is heard, for its lyrics refer to a separation that is perhaps permanent). Each CD is organized into four sections that make up a complete program: Processional, Ceremonial Music, Vocal Solos, and Recessional. All the pieces are quite appropriate for their suggested purposes, so you could pick and choose (from both discs, if you had two players) or just play each section straight through. There are other helpful touches, such as a track of wedding bells on the first disc (might be nice to have for the rehearsal). The real must-haves (like the Bridal Chorus) are included on both discs, but in different arrangements.
